Jaffna – Early Days of Prof. A. Sathasivam

Jaffna region is in the northern region of Sri Lanka, was the birthplace of Prof. A. Sathasivam – Araly located in. It represents the earliest setting of his personal and intellectual life and connects directly to the local Tamil educational traditions that shaped his childhood.

His early education began in Araly at institutions such as Araly Saraswathy Vidyalayam and Araly Hindu English School. These schools formed the first stages of a journey that later led him to Vaddukoddai, Colombo, Peradeniya and Oxford.
